NeoSport 5mm Full Wetsuit
At 6’3” and 210 lbs, finding a wetsuit that fits well and performs across a range of dive conditions isn’t always easy. I wear an XXL in this particular 5mm wetsuit, and it’s become my go-to for both freshwater and saltwater diving in Florida.
Perfect for Florida Springs
Florida’s freshwater springs stay at a crisp 72°F year-round, which might sound warm—until you remember that heat is lost 25 times faster in water than in air. That’s why I don’t hesitate to suit up in a 5mm when diving places like Blue Grotto or Paradise Springs. This wetsuit provides just the right amount of insulation to keep me comfortable during extended bottom times, even on multi-dive days.
Tough Enough for Saltwater, Too
I’ve also put this suit to the test in the Atlantic during winter months, where water temps can dip into the low 60s. It’s held up impressively well against salt, sand, and repeated use. The seams are still tight, the zippers glide smoothly, and the neoprene hasn’t lost its stretch or warmth.
Fit, Comfort & Durability
The XXL fits snugly without restricting movement, which is key for both flutter and frog kicks. The suit is easy to get on and off - even after a long dive - and doesn’t bunch or chafe in high-movement areas like the shoulders or knees. After dozens of dives, it still looks and feels like it’s ready for many more.
Bottom Line
If you’re diving in Florida springs, Gulf wrecks, or Atlantic reefs during the cooler months, this 5mm wetsuit is a reliable, comfortable, and durable choice. It’s earned a permanent spot in my dive bag.
